The Qattan Centre for the Child launched the Science Days Palestine SDP 2014 in its premises in Gaza. The Festival, which focuses on “Future Technologies”, was organised and funded in partnership with Al-Nayzak Foundation, Birzeit University, The Palestinian Museum/ Welfare Association, Institute Français, Goethe Institute, Mercedes Benz and the European Union, and in cooperation with local and international organisations.

The 2 winning projects of the Ramallah Doc Pitching Competition 2014 are 'Broken Dreams' by Mohamed Harb from Gaza and 'Steadfast Art' by Shady Srour from Nazareth.

'The Wanted 18' film directed by Amer Shomali and Paul Cowan, which won the Ramallah Doc Pitching Competition 2009, was named the Best Documentary at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival.

The Qattan Centre for Educational Research and Development organised a visit for science teachers and scientists to the Exploratorium in San Francisco to attend a workshop on Fundamentals of Inquiry.
