About The Child's Library

Located at the heart of the Cultural Centre in Gaza, The Child's Library is a haven for young minds. With a collection of approximately 100,000 materials, it stands as one of the largest children's libraries in the region. Our mission is to nurture a love for reading and knowledge among the children of the Gaza Strip.

Our Services

  • Membership for children under 17, parents, and child-focused professionals.

  • The Young Librarian Program, empowering children to provide library services to peers.

  • "We All Read" Program, enhancing Arabic reading and writing skills.

  • Cultural and reading activities promoting critical thinking and self-discovery.

  • Calligraphy courses to develop Arabic calligraphy skills.

  • Cultural Evening Tales, storytelling events for children and parents.

  • Library as a Third Place Tracks, training for school librarians.

  • External Lending to partner school libraries, enriching resources.

  • The Readers Club, a space for parents to discuss books and enhance analytical capabilities.
